WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (NO FLUFF)

You’ll be employed by ATNZ and thrown straight into a heavy fabrication apprenticeship in
Kerepehi. 

You’ll be: 

Cutting steel 

Welding heavy plate 

Fabricating parts that actually matter 

Learning from tradespeople who won’t sugarcoat (or hold back)

Getting paid while becoming a qualified Heavy Fabricator 

At the end of this, you don’t just potentially have a job. 
You have LEVERAGE. 

WHAT THE HELL EVEN IS HEAVY FABRICATION?

Simply put: It’s building the backbone of stuff 

Trailers 

Earthmoving machinery 

Industrial equipment 

Big steel structures 

Things that don’t forgive mistakes 

This is thick steel, big gear, and real responsibility 

If that excites you instead of scares you, fantastic!

THE CHECKLIST (BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF)

• You’re willing to lock in 3–4 years 

• You like tools, metal, machines, or breaking things to understand them (things, not people) 

• You have a restricted or full driver licence 

• You’ve done a pre-trade or you’ve already played with metal and want more 

No qualifications needed. 
No experience . 
We’ll teach the skills. You bring the hunger. 

THE PAYOFF (LITERALLY)

Yes! You earn from day one.

Typical apprentice pay range: $41,000 – $52,000 
(And that number climbs when your credits do too)
