Job Description - Engagement & Culture Group Coordinator - Part-Time

The Role

TDC is on the lookout for a part-time Engagement & Culture Group Coordinator to get involved in a diverse range of activities that support our most vital resource - our awesome people! Here’s a snapshot of what you can expect:

Your challenge will be coordinating the day-to-day HR operations and administration processes for the team. You will be supporting with the effective provision of all Health and Safety, Learning and Development and Wellness related functions across the Timaru District Council.

Working across the organisation, you will need to be a great communicator, both written and verbal, and have the natural ability to build rapport quickly to engage with our people at all levels.

We’re looking for a problem solver who can identify when pieces of the puzzle are missing and fill in the gaps. You’ll work efficiently whilst not compromising on attention to detail, and when it comes to juggling multiple priorities - you will have it covered.

Knowledge of relevant legislation including Employment Relations Act 2000, Health & Safety at Work Act 2015, Privacy Act 2020 and experience working with payroll would be an added advantage. Needless to say, you’ll be about as switched-on as they come.
