Job Description - Contact Center Assistant

Trade Me, a leading online marketplace based in Auckland, NZ, is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Contact Center Assistant on a part-time basis. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone looking to gain experience in a fast-paced and exciting industry.


Responsibilities: 1. Respond to customer inquiries and provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, and chat. 2. Assist customers with account inquiries, troubleshooting technical issues, and processing orders. 3. Utilize CRM software to maintain accurate records of customer interactions and follow-up activities. 4. Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer issues and escalations in a timely manner. 5. Identify and recommend solutions to improve customer satisfaction and overall efficiency of contact center operations. 6. Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and company policies to provide accurate information to customers. 7. Adhere to company guidelines and standards for quality assurance and compliance.


Requirements: 1. 1 year of experience in a customer service or contact center role preferred. 2. Independent and adaptable personality traits to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 3. Strong persuasion and time management skills to effectively handle customer inquiries and resolve issues. 4. Excellent communication skills with a customer-centric approach. 5. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. 6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software. 7. High school diploma or equivalent required.
