Job Description - Online Customer Service Specialist

Job Description:


Xcel Energy is seeking a part-time Online Customer Service Specialist to join our team in Napier, Hawke's Bay, NZ. As an Associate Level position, the ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in customer service and online support roles.


Responsibilities: 1. Provide excellent customer service through online platforms such as chat, email, and social media. 2. Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. 3. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide guidance on using online services. 4. Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer needs are met. 5. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions. 6. Identify opportunities to upsell products or services to customers. 7. Stay up-to-date with company policies, procedures, and products to provide accurate information to customers. 8. Assist with special projects as assigned by management.


Requirements: 1. Confident and hardworking individual with a positive attitude. 2. Excellent communication skills with the ability to persuade and influence others. 3. Strong people management skills to handle challenging customer situations. 4. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. 5. Proficiency in using online customer service platforms and CRM systems. 6. Knowledge of energy industry trends and regulations is a plus. 7. Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed. 8. Must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
