Accountant/Senior Bookkeeper - Hiring Now - Part-Time

An awesome opportunity has come up with a private sector hospitality group, looking for an experienced Accountant or Senior Bookkeeper looking for a new 30 hours a week part time role! This permanent position would be great for someone who is looking for work life balance while still maintaining a challenging and fulfilling professional role!
  
About the Role:
As the sole charge Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day financial operations. That means within this role the tasks include but are not limited to:

• Preparing and reviewing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts (alongside the Managing Director), and providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Monthly financial reports including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and Cashflow KPI’s, across multiple entities.
• Managing the fixed asset register.
• Tax Requirements.
• Daily reconciliation of bank statements.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable Management.
• Payroll.

About You:
To be suitable for this role, you will be a people person with a strong understanding of accounting principles. You will be comfortable and experienced with financial reporting and be passionate about supporting the change of a small business. Beyond this, the ideal candidate will possess some of the following skills:

• Accounting experience up to Month-End Reporting Level, with a theoretical understanding of the material and ability to provide analysis and commentary to the Managing Director.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High computer literacy and problem-solving skills.
• Ideally have experience in a similar position using Xero.
