Accounts Officer - Hiring Immediately - Part-Time

We're seeking an Accounting Officer to join our dynamic head office based in Wellington CBD. 30+ hours per week

Food Envy and our newly opened Espresso & Wine Bar, Glou Glou, has been catering for foodies across Wellington since 2012, from corporate catering to weddings and events. We love good company and good eats!

We took out Wellington’s Outstanding Caterer of the year 3 years running 2021, 2022 & 2023 and we're looking for an Accounting Officer to join our Head Office!

In this role, you'll be the backbone of our finance department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in every transaction. From managing accounts payables and receivables to management reporting and budgeting. You'll be at the heart of our financial processes, making a real impact on our organization's success.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts receivable, accounts payable.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records by reconciling accounts and processing transactions promptly.
• Collaborate closely with the finance team to provide support and expertise in all areas of financial management.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparing financial reports and statements.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize xero and in-house tools effectively to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the continuous enhancement of financial operations.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Experience in a similar role is required.

Hospitality experience is preferred.
