Job Description - Administrator - Career Growth Potential - Part-Time

We are hiring a strategic Administrator to join our experienced team at Utility Scan Taranaki in New Plymouth Central, Taranaki.

Utility Scan is a professional underground service locating company, providing fit for purpose solutions to aid in damage prevention of underground utilities. 

We are currently on the lookout for a super star administrator to join our small, dedicated team.  

 

This is a permanent part-time role, based out of our New Plymouth office. Days are Monday to Friday, and hours worked are between 9am and 4pm (30 hours per week minimum). 

 

The purpose of this role is to undertake common office tasks and support/assist the Operations Manager with running a high paced company. Experience is preferred, however full training will be provided.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Taking calls and booking jobs
  • Submitting plan requests
  • Xero – invoicing, reconciling and managing debtors
  • Document management
  • Sub-contractor approvals
  • H & S document preparation 
  • Accounts payable
  • Managing correspondence 
  • General administrative tasks

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Effective and timely communication, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously
  • Excellent time management skills including the ability to prioritise tasks and shift focus in an ever-changing environment 
  • Sound knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Great attention to detail
  • Self-starter who can operate with minimal input from the Operations Manager
