The Otago University Childcare Association is a non-profit community-based organisation that operates five early childhood services on the University Campus. Our priority is the provision of top-quality early childhood education for children of staff and students attending the University of Otago.
We employ approximately 50 staff who are highly committed to providing all 190 children and their families with supportive education and care. The work environment is new, modern, attractive, and friendly. The person we are looking for should be a highly organised, process-driven person who can work unsupervised in a busy environment where relationships with families and staff are a priority.
The role involves oversight of attendance data for children, parent accounts, payment of invoices (Xero), placing orders, payroll, interacting with families, children, and staff, and supporting the Manager and part-time administrator.
Hours of work each day have some flexibility to suit the successful candidate's requirements. The pay rate is as per the Early Childhood Collective Contract (available on the NZEI website).
Experience in all or some of the following is required:
Accurate data entry
Xero - processing of payments
Payroll - Chrystal Payroll or similar
