Aircraft Service Agent

Air New Zealand is seeking a permanent part-time Aircraft Service Agent to join our team at Nelson Airport.

What will I be doing?

As a key member of the Nelson Airport team, you will be working both indoors and outdoors, up close alongside a variety of aircraft and machinery. Duties are varied and include baggage handling and aircraft interior cleaning. You will need to be comfortable working in tight spaces on smaller Q300 and ATR aircraft. This is a physically demanding role, so a good level of fitness and a willingness to work in a hands-on environment are essential.

Role requirements

• Entitled to live and work permanently in New Zealand at the time of applying (NZ or AU Citizen, or NZ Permanent Resident)

• Full or Restricted New Zealand Driver Licence

• Experience working in a physically challenging role within a safety-conscious environment

• Hardworking and motivated to deliver your best for our customers in a safe and timely manner

• Resilient, with good time management skills and the ability to adapt to changing deadlines and priorities

Shift work roster

This part-time role will see you working between 36 and 72 hours per fortnight. You will be rostered on shifts that rotate and change depending on business needs and the flight schedule. Our operation runs every day between the hours of 4.45am and 10.00pm. This includes weekends, nights, and public holidays. You will need to be flexible to work across these varying days and times.
