Badminton Programme Facilitator

Bay Venues …. Haven’t heard of us? Not to worry; I bet you have heard of some of the venues we own or operate – the iconic Mount Hot Pools, Baywave, or Mercury Baypark to name a few. The purpose of this role is to:

• Facilitate the social badminton programme with enthusiasm and clear instruction


• Ensure the safety and well-being of participants


• Undertake the set-up, presentation and operation of the programmes, and the space where they occur


• Ensure all customers have a good experience through the provision of a high level of service.

This role is a part-time position of three hours per week. The hours available are Tuesday 7pm-10pm.  

There will also be opportunity to pick-up additional shifts on a casual basis at our other Bay Active programmes if desired.

You will primarily be based at the Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre, but may be required to work at any of our facilities across the network.

To be successful you must:

·         Be enthusiastic, encouraging and supportive;

·         Be reliable and confident;

·         Have excellent communication skills and ability to make customers feel welcome;

·         Demonstrate excellent time management skills;

·         Be able to be active for long periods of time and able to move large equipment;

Have the ability to retain professional demeanour and make concise judgement calls;
