Dental Assistant/Receptionist | Lumino Pukekohe | Fixed Term , Part-Time

We’re currently looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Dental Assistant, with some Reception responsibilities, to join our friendly team at The Dental Company on a fixed-term, part-time basis.

In this dual role, your main focus will be working chairside as a Dental Assistant, with occasional cover on Reception when required.

As a Dental Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting our clinicians during a wide range of dental procedures. You'll also be responsible for:

• Instrument sterilisation and maintaining infection control protocols
• Managing stock levels and supplies
• Helping create a smooth, positive experience for every patient

As a Receptionist, you’ll be the welcoming face and friendly voice of the practice. Your day will include:

• Greeting and assisting patients with enquiries
• Booking and confirming appointments
• Processing payments and handling general admin tasks
• Supporting the team to keep things running smoothly

We’re open to experienced Dental Assistants or those looking to step into the role with the right attitude and willingness to learn. Here’s what will help you succeed:

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant (preferred but not essential – full training provided!)
• Experience with sterilisation procedures and/or customer service roles
• A warm, friendly, and team-oriented approach
• Great attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• Confident computer skills and a quick learner
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Role Details

Hours:

• Tuesday – Thursday: 8:30am – 5:15pm
• Friday: 8:30am – 1:15pm

Contract:

• Fixed-term from 7 October 2025 to 28 February 2026
