Digital Marketing Unicorn - Professional Development Opportunities - Part-Time

Alchemy Equipment is a New Zealand owned and operated apparel company. We create premium apparel and bags that combine the elements of performance and style. We sell our collections globally, through our own stores in NZ, and with a fast growing on-line sales channel. 

We are on the hunt for a digital unicorn...More specifically, we are looking for a multi-skilled team member to join us to lead the development, execution and optimisation of our eCommerce and Digital Marketing activities. We have previously used external agencies for this, but the time has come to look at bringing this in-house. We want someone with the skillset and mindset that would thrive in a small team environment, with a respectful work culture where they are given scope and opportunity. 

Working with our friendly creative team, you will contribute to the development and own the delivery of digital marketing strategies, seasonal digital marketing campaigns and the creation and dissemination of digital content and collateral. You will be strong at implementing and optimising paid campaigns in Meta and Google. You will refine the user experience on our (Shopify) website through the development of best-in-category practises and tools to deliver on our global e-commerce channels, put in place strategy and further increase our audience and conversions in the digital space.

This position is based in our Christchurch Head Office, located at The Tannery (Woolston). There is flexibility in this role, with between 15-30 hrs per week on offer depending on the candidate and what they can bring to the role.

We are seeking someone who can…

• Lead and implement the global e-commerce and digital marketing strategy
• Nurture and grow our customer base through both automation flows and lead generation activities
• Manage, maintain and execute a seasonal digital content marketing calendar. 
• Place and manage campaigns and activities across Meta and Google Ads.
• Create and implement various communications across all touchpoints to strengthen understanding and trust in the Alchemy Equipment brand.
• Ensure website is well maintained with content optimised.
• Support SEO development 
• Creating a variety of sales funnels and continually drive ROAS
• Identify opportunities discovered through customer interactions and/or data analysis and implement into campaigns
• Present regular key findings reports
• Assess new digital marketing innovations, tools and techniques and regularly review for best fit for the business

The ideal candidate would offer us-

• At least 2 years’ experience in e-commerce and Digital Marketing within the apparel or consumer products industry
• e-commerce sales experiences – lead generation, nurturing, conversion and optimisation
• strong abilities to build and manage Ad sets in Google Ads and Meta.
• Commercially-minded approach with the desire to stay on top of developments in the digital landscape
• Website and Digital design experience - either directly or outsourced.
• Experience or knowledge in data analysis and reporting 
• Experience with Google Analytics, CRM systems, E-mail marketing and SEO
• Undeniable drive and passion to want to be part of a high performance NZ brand and team culture
• Social media savvy, a good understanding and interest for delivery engaging brand messaging.
