Early Years Sport And Movement Coach - Part-Time

About the business
We are a franchised business operating NZ wide. Having been established 2 years ago, we have one part time job available. 

We run classes at selected early childcare centres and as an after school activity in local schools, providing fundamental skills to children in our community. It is a small business with opportunities to learn and grow within it and the possibility of more hours for the right coach.  
 
 About the role
 Our successful coach will begin ASAP. They will be enthusiastic about coaching children and communicate easily day to day with children, parents and teachers. 

You would be coaching 30 - 45min fast paced, (part time hours to be discussed) high energy classes to ages 2-9 year olds in different locations surrounding our area.
 

We coach from 9-4pm Mon - Fri. You must be available for the after school classes Mon-Fri, with extra hours across the week. (please submit your daily availability with your application) 

You will also ideally be avaliable July 9th - July 11th for the Playball Holiday Camp.
 
Your own transport is essential as you would be driving between classes. Playball Hamilton is only recently set up and currently we have a small team with a great work ethic. You will need to be comfortable working in a small team, which will be growing throughout the year. It’s important as coaches we know all our children well, making them comfortable to experience trying new things and mastering new skills. 
We are looking for someone who is keen to grow with the company, and for the right coach hours are likely to increase.

- You will have the same timetable weekly so it is easy to plan studies, appointments, training or family around your work. Classes are run between the hours of 9am - 4:30pm
- All training is provided and because it is a small business there is a lot to learn in various aspects of the business. You will attend a first aid course for children. 
 
Skills and experience
You will have exceptional teamwork and communication skills as well as abilities in developing and coaching children. Experience in physical education or sports' coaching is preferred but not mandatory. A full or restricted, clean drivers license and police check is required.
You will be organised and able to manage your time well. You will be skilled at building rapport quickly with children and above all, you will have a commitment and passion for developing children and empowering them to be the best they can be. 
 
 
Hourly Rate: $23-$25 p/class plus petrol
