Position Purpose:
This role supports the organisation and its leaders with efficient finance systems, contract administration, and support to WellSouth subsidiary organisations (including joint ventures). This role facilitates and reconciles the contract and financial delivery of programmes organisational wide as well as supporting other key finance functions in areas of accounting, reporting, system development and process improvement.
About you - To be successful in this role you will:
Formal tertiary qualifications not required but 2-3 years’ experience in finance will be necessary.
Attention to detail in all areas of finance.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Good levels of computer literacy. Skills in Microsoft Word and Excel from intermediate to advanced (required).
Experience using Finance Management Systems (FMIS) e.g. Microsoft Dynamics, Xero.
The ability to think outside the square and use your financial acumen to solve problems from a different point of view.
A high degree of self-motivation, willingness, and self-responsibility to continually improve.
Strong time management skills and ability to work calmly during times of pressure.
Display high levels of professionalism.
Effective interpersonal skills to establish good relationships with colleagues, key external stakeholders and others outside the organisation.
Ability to self-guide and have enough experience to problem solve for self and others.
Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines especially flexibility around reporting periods.
