The Business

Your friendly Ponsonby local. Freeman & Grey is a relaxed gastropub that prides itself on being the place to go for an after work beer to the place you meet your friends on a Saturday night. We strongly believe in handcrafted pizza, cold beer and good times. We love people and we love keeping busy - our nights are filled with quizzes, functions and cocktails!

The Role

This is a part time role; great for a student or someone who is looking for part time work!

We're getting busier, and as such need some more help in the kitchen! This role is ideal for a passionate, hard working individual, with a commitment to high standards and an interest in learning and developing their skills in the kitchen.
Your main responsibilities include:

• Making each dish according to recipe, following the recipe to 100%


• Setting kitchen up for busy periods


• Assisting the kitchen manager as required


• Ensuring stock is rotated to minimise wastage and kept and correct temperatures


• Ensuring prep and ordering lists are always being completed each day

Skills / Experience 
You will be required to work as efficiently as possible, in a busy team environment, so great communication skills will give you instant bonus points. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to jump-start their cooking career but doesn't know where to begin.
