About the Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

Phoenix Health Hub is seeking a passionate General Practitioner to join our growing team with a negotiable Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) up to 0.6 (or 6 per week).  This position provides an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in men’s health.

Phoenix Health Hub offers a vibrant and supportive environment where you can make a real difference in the community. We are looking for someone who is ideally ready to start over the coming months (as soon as you are able past late June) to ensure seamless care continuity for our patients.

Key Responsibilities | Ngā Haepapa Matua

• Patient focused care providing health services to our patient needs. 
• Provide comprehensive primary medical care to patients of all ages, including diagnosis, treatment, preventive care, patient education, and acute care
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on patient needs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care
• Stay updated with the latest medical research and advancements to ensure evidence-based practice
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and relevant healthcare laws and regulations while maintaining patient confidentiality
• Refer patients to specialists when necessary and coordinate their care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care standards
• Be an excellent communicator with patients, colleagues, and stakeholders

Key Requirements | Ngā Tohu Matua

• Current registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
• Legal right to work in New Zealand
• Interest or experience in men’s health
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to providing patient-centric care
• Ability to work effectively in a team
