Our Gym Instructors are the driving force behind a safe, supportive, and high‑energy gym floor environment. They play a vital role in creating a welcoming space where members feel confident, motivated, and empowered to achieve their health and fitness goals.
These positions are based exclusively at our Waterworld facility, where you will actively engage with members on the gym floor, provide guidance on equipment use, and support a wide range of fitness journeys. From assisting beginners to refining technique with experienced gym‑goers, your presence ensures every member feels supported, safe, and inspired. As a Gym Instructor, you bring enthusiasm, approachability, and a genuine passion for helping others succeed, confidently interacting with members and offering advice, encouragement, and tailored support both on the gym floor and through well‑designed training programmes. A key part of this role is designing and delivering personalised gym programmes tailored to individual goals, abilities, and experience levels, helping members progress effectively and safely. Your primary responsibility is to maintain a safe environment, ensure correct exercise technique, and proactively engage with members to enhance their overall gym experience. You will also be required to support group fitness classes as needed, contributing to a varied and rewarding instructing experience.
In addition to your on‑floor duties, you will also be responsible for key administrative tasks. This includes developing and updating gym programmes, supporting membership sign‑ups, and responding to member enquiries via email in a timely and professional manner. Your ability to balance these responsibilities ensures a seamless and high‑quality experience for our members both in person and behind the scenes.
You will have the skills to adapt exercises and programmes to suit individual needs, ensuring accessibility for all fitness levels. Whether helping someone build confidence with equipment, creating a structured plan to achieve their goals, or motivating them through challenging sessions, you are there every step of the way. You also celebrate progress, acknowledge effort, and reinforce positive habits that keep members coming back.
We are seeking a trained or experienced fitness professionals who leads by example. We have two position available - Monday - Friday 5:30am-12pm (30 hours per week) and Sunday 9am-3pm and Monday - Wednesday 2-8pm (24 hours per week).
If you are passionate about health and wellbeing, thrive in a people‑focused role, and enjoy being active on the gym floor, this role is for you. You’ll support new members as they get started, develop personalised programmes to guide their journey, motivate regulars to push further, confidently deliver or support group fitness classes when needed, and manage administrative responsibilities with professionalism and care, maintaining a positive and encouraging atmosphere throughout the gym.
