Healthcare Assistant - Permanent Part-Time

We are looking for passionate and dedicated part time Healthcare Assistants, for our permanent afternoon and night shifts positions. We have set fortnightly rostered positions to suit applicants who want to work part time, working either afternoons (1500-2100 / 1500- 2300) or evenings (2300 - 0700) and at least one day over every weekend.

Patrick Ferry House is a family-owned Hospital which provides a range of aged care needs for our residents. We offer day stay, respite, rehabilitation, hospital, rest home and palliative care. Our team provides support, while always encouraging our residents to maintain their dignity and independence as much as possible.

Our on-site Hospital has 74 beds over two levels, based in Unsworth Heights located less than 2 minutes from the motorway giving easy access from North Shore, West Auckland and the City.

Primary position objective

• Ensure residents wellbeing is upheld to the Patrick Ferry House high standards and promote a harmonious environment for both residents and team members.
• Communicate with other team members effectively to ensure smooth delivery of services to residents.
• Ensure all Residents receive high quality and personalised care.
• Always maintain residents’ comfort and wellbeing.
• Ensure documentation is maintained and accurate, as per policy and procedure.
• Effectively communicate any changes of resident’s conditions to Registered Nurse / Shift Co-ordinator as outlined in Policies and Procedures.
