Inspector/Verifier (Fixed Term)

We are looking for an Inspector/Verifier to join our friendly and supportive team.

This is a part time, fixed term role for 9 to 12 months to cover maternity leave.  Ideally, we are looking for someone to work 30 hours per week. 

This role will be based at our Mt Wellington office but will require travel across the Auckland region.

In this role you will assist with commercial inspections, verifying and surveying in the Auckland region, always ensuring that all tasks undertaken are performed in a truly professional manner so that the integrity of SGS is not compromised in any way.

• Previous agricultural inspections or a degree in horticultural would be preferred however on the job training will be offered to the successful candidate
• Knowledge of the MPI Assurance System Framework advantageous
• A professional presentation and strong customer skills.
• Able to organize own work schedule, self-motivated and work unsupervised in remote locations 
• Ability to work additional hours as and when required
• Proficient report writing and computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as simple database management 
• A current and full New Zealand driver’s license and the ability to operate a manual vehicle.
