We are a non-government organisation in the Counties Manukau area, providing early intervention and child safety focused programmes.
We are seeking an energetic and a versatile individual to join our team to provide on-site support to our passionate team of Social Workers with their day-to-day technology related issues, for 3-days per week.
This is an entry-level role and while previous experience in providing technology support is not a must, a good general knowledge of technology will be advantageous. Most importantly, we would love to see your passion for computers and technology and a willingness to learn.

You will have good communication skills, commitment and be kind and supportive to our social workers whose expertise is serving our community and may often need a lot of support when it comes to technology.
To be successful in this role you will have the following. You may not tick all the boxes, but what is important is the positive attitude, willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Ability to build working relationships with users and provide technical support in a collaborative manner
- Ability to proactively troubleshoot issues in laptops, desktops, phones and other equipment
- Ability to provide support for Microsoft 365 or willing to learn
- Ability to complete basic administrative and/or support functions related to copying and printing devices
- Excellent communication skills to enable the delivery of user service excellence
- Solid drive towards user-centric approach and problem-solving
- liaising with external service providers to resolve problems
- exploring various knowledge sources to identify solutions and improvement
- The ability to create and maintain hardware and accessory stocks and records
Tasks & responsibilities
- Follow the standard process to deal with Information and Communication Technological (ICT) service changes when new users join, existing users change responsibilities or users resign
- Inform the users of their login details and help them access all ICT Services when their circumstances change
- Liaise with the IT Service Provider to obtain new user profiles, amend user profiles or delete user profiles as appropriate
- Receive service / support requests from users, prioritise issues depending on their sensitivity, provide in-house solutions to the issues in the first instance and escalate issues to the IT Service Provider if in-house resolution is not possible
- Work with the IT Service supplier and mobile service suppliers to maintain network infrastructure, workstations, laptops, mobile phones and other ICT hardware in good working order
- Help users gain ICT Skills and enhance their confidence to use ICT in their work
