Omanu School Learning Assistant/Teacher Aide

Part time

$25 - $30 per hour

Omanu School is a supportive and caring place to work with just over 500 students. We are committed to ensuring our tamariki have support when they need it.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable part-time Learning Assistant to join our team for the remainder of 2024 with a focus on supporting tamariki with diverse learning needs within our inclusive classrooms.

Previous experience working in a school and with students with diverse learning needs would be an advantage.

Key responsibilities:

Provide in-class and/or small group support for students
Assist students with achieving learning goals
Work cooperatively with school staff
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times

You will be supported by a Learning Support Team and be part of a collaborative Learning Assistant Team.

An ability to uphold the mana of each child as an individual

This is a fixed-term position of approximately 12-15 hrs per week Monday - Thursday (during term time) until Thursday 19 December. The position formally starts in Term 3 (Monday 22 July).
