MARKETING COORDINATOR

Permanent, part-time role with flexible working options.

About us:

The Institute of Professional Legal Studies (IPLS) is a private training organisation.  We thrive on preparing law graduates to enter legal practice, ready to make a positive contribution to the profession and the public. 

 

The role:

We are seeking a confident, self-motivated Marketing professional to join IPLS based in Auckland for 4 days / 32 hours a week.

 

The purpose of this role is to develop and execute an end-to-end communications programme for law students.  It also involves ensuring a seamless online experience for instructors and students, through regular updates and improvements to the online learning platform.

 

You’ll be a key part of the Marketing team and have great people skills, be highly organised, a good eye for detail and be up to date with the latest in social media. 

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Social media: Manage IPLS’ social media presence, including Instagram and Facebook.
  • Sponsorship and event management: Plan and manage the IPLS sponsorship and events programme.
  • Content creation: Creation of content for social media, student newsletter and the website, building awareness of IPLS within law student and legal communities. 
  • Community management: Monitor community interactions to drive engagement and enrolments. Includes responding to law student pre-enrolment queries.
  • Learning Management platform content management:  Ensuring content is up-to-date and continuously improved for both trainees and instructors. 
  • Ensure brand consistency: Across all touch points
  • Project Management: Manage ad-hoc projects and initiatives from inception to execution.
  • Measurement and reporting: Contribute to regular compliance reports including quarterly reports, annual reports. Monitor key metrics particularly social reach, student enrolments and feedback.
  • Build relationships within the legal community: Universities, legal profession, students, law societies and other industry professionals.

 

You will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification with 3+ years experience in a similar role
  • Experience managing social media for a business or other organisation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of writing, editing and content management experience. (Writing is a critical skill in this role and we will ask for examples of previous copywriting as part of the interview process.)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise work.
  • A people centric approach to delivery and a growth mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with people to achieve outcomes.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.  It would be an advantage to have experience with Canva and/or other design software
