Marketing Specialist - Start Immediately - Part-Time

Steelbro are world leaders in the design, manufacture, sales and support of sidelifters. The company services the transport industry globally and has been designing and manufacturing in Canterbury since 1878. Steelbro now exports to over 110 countries and has workshops in Christchurch and Auckland as well as manufacturing facilities in Australia, China, Malaysia and Europe. 

We are seeking a talented marketer to work with our team to further develop our marketing program.  The role is part time (20hrs per week) with flexible hours. The successful candidate will be based in Christchurch and able to work work from home or at the Steelbro workshop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our social media strategy in order to increase our online presence, improve our marketing and sales efforts, update and improve our web site, and enhance brand awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy across various platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
• Create engaging and compelling content tailored to each platform’s audience.
• Maintain, monitor, develop the Steelbro web site
• Prepare and execute email campaigns
• Monitor and analyze social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns and adjust strategies as needed
• Engage with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner, and monitor customer reviews.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, technologies, and trends.
• Develop and manage social media advertising campaigns.
• Provide regular reports and insights on social media performance and campaign effectiveness.

Skills you bring:

• Qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Proven work experience in a direct marketing similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of all major social media platforms and their best practices.
• Strong understanding of social media KPIs, analytics tools, and SEO.
• Interest and understanding of heavy transport industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and design.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with social media advertising platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads, Google AdWords).
• Proficiency in graphic design and video editing software is desirable.
