Medical Receptionist - Hiring Immediately - Part-Time

The Roles

We are recruiting for two part time roles as follows:

• 4 days - Monday to Thursday between 8:30am - 6:00pm
• 3 days - Monday, Thursday, Friday between 8:00am - 5:30pm

About us:

Sports Doctors are the largest group of Doctors specialising in Sport and Exercise Medicine in the South Island. Our team of Doctors include specialists in Sport and Exercise Medicine, Musculoskeletal Medicine, Orthopaedics, Rheumatology with Neurology soon to join our growing team.

We are a fun and busy clinic located at our brand new, purpose-built facility at 136 Moorhouse Avenue complete with an in-house gym complementary for staff to use and a wall mounted bike storage room for the cycling enthusiasts. We also operate 2 satellite clinics in Rolleston and Rangiora.

Our team of Doctors, Nurses, Dietician and Administration staff come from diverse backgrounds with a variety of interests and areas of expertise, but all share the same value and vision of making Sports Doctors an enjoyable, safe and collaborative place to work.

About the role:

The Medical Receptionist is a pivotal role in our team and the first point of contact for our patients and visitors. It is a patient-focused role where patients are treated in a prompt, caring and professional manner.

This is a collaborative role providing front line reception services including:

• Booking patient appointments
• Administrative tasks
• Answering phones and patient queries
• Email management
• Loading ACC45 claim forms
• Specialist billing
• Southern Cross prior approvals and claiming
• Eftpos payments
• Stationary ordering

About you: 

Being a fast-paced environment, you are an exceptional multi-tasker with the ability to manage competing priorities and workflows. You comfortably know your way around a computer and can pick up new processes and software with ease. You have exceptional communication skills and attention to detail and ideally have experience in the healthcare sector.

Skills and experience: 

• Previous medical reception experience is ideal.
• Confident use of technology, including MS office suite.
• Thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment - superstar multitasker!
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Articulate, professional and empathetic style of communication.
