Merchandising and Support Specialist

This is an amazing opportunity for a Merchandising and Support Specialist to work with a renowned industry leader and household name, at the forefront of technology and innovation. This role is working 20 hours per week, based in Bay of Plenty.

We are looking for individuals with a passion for people and tech. With exceptional people skills and a natural curiosity, you’ll seek to understand consumer purchasing decisions and deliver a world-class customer experience.

As the technical expert for your product portfolio, you’ll make a significant impact by driving in-store merchandising, training and support. You will be enthusiastic and customer-centric, sharing your product knowledge whilst upholding the principles of this brand.

In order for you to perform your role we will provide you a competitive remuneration including a fuel card, tools of trade including phone device with phone plan and a laptop. 

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Managing fortnightly call cycles and responsibilities within your portfolio
• Upholding merchandising standards and working to merchandising briefs.
• Educating customers on products and being the first point of contact. 

We are ideally looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience in merchandising OR technology-based retail is ideal, although full training is provided. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence when approaching customers to recommend products
• Willingness to learn and share product based technical expertise
• Ability to build and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders

This role has high levels of autonomy and regular travel, so you must be organised and self-managing. You must have your own car, along with a clean, full drivers license. You must be an NZ citizen, have NZ Permanent Resident status or a valid NZ work visa.
