Nurse Practitioner Or Registered Nurse - Urgent Hiring - Part-Time

Korowai Aroha is a Kaupapa Maori Health Service in Rotorua, a city rich with Culture and geothermal activity, surrounded by plentiful lakes and native forests - a gateway to the world famous trails in Whakarewarewa forest.

We have an opportunity for someone to join our vibrant and friendly team. Our team is searching for a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about achieving equitable health outcomes for the people whom we serve. Your role will be working alongside the Community and Fit for Surgery teams, working with those who are needing to optimise their health to be ‘Fit ready’ for Surgery. You will also support other Nurses in the Community team (Diabetes, Respiratory etc full training given). 

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and work as part of a friendly collaborative team to assist patients in navigating their journey to well-being and achieve optimal health outcomes. 

We will support you with clinical supervision and access to further training and development opportunities. To achieve this you will also be well supported by the wider friendly team including: GP Clinic, Nurse Specialists, Community teams, Physio, Social Workers and Management and will receive a competitive remuneration package.   

To be successful we are looking for someone who: 

• Is a Registered nurse entitled to work in New Zealand and hold registration with the NZNC and holds a current NZ Practising certificate.
• Has a high level of empathy and dedication to enhancing Māori hauora outcomes
• Is friendly, warm and compassionate and genuinely care about whānau health and well-being
• Has a strong work ethic and is pro-active in their work
• Has good communication, collaboration, organisational and support skills
• Is flexible and able to work both as part of a team and autonomously
• Has a Full drivers License
