Job Description - Payroll Administrator - Start Immediately - Part-Time

We are in need of a persistent Payroll administrator to join our high-achieving team at Birkenhead Primary School in Birkenhead, Auckland.

Payroll Administrator - Part-time 

 

Position: Finance Administrator 

Reporting To: Principal 

Location: North shore - school-based with remote flexibility 

Salary - $26.45 per hour starting rate


 

Birkenhead Primary School on Auckland’s North shore is on the hunt for a part time Finance Administrator to work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure that the school's financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fortnightly payroll run
  • Payment processing
  • Data processing and Bank reconciliations
  • Invoice management
  • Ordering stock and stock management

 

Key Experience required

  • Knowledge and experience with Xero Accounting software
  • Knowledge and use of Xero Payroll
  • Familiar with using ASB Fastnet Business, Aimy One and Ezypay is desirable but not essential
  • Desireable but not required - Knowledge of Edpay and MOE Payroll Systems 

 

Who You Are: 

  • A great communicator with previous finance administration experience 
  • A keen collaborator to work with your key stakeholders - senior leadership team, teachers, accountant and auditors
  • Innovative - to assess current processes and make improvements where required
  • Have excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Tech-savvy - Comfortable with office software, previous experience with Xero essential
