Nature of the role / te āhuatanga o te tūranga
We are seeking an experienced, organised, and dynamic Processing Supervisor to lead, train and oversee a volunteer team in our newest charity shop in Ruakākā. This role oversees the efficient and effective processing of goods, systems, procedures, and stock management.
Anticipated opening is early July, the shop will stock clothing, shoes, bric-a-brac, jewellery, accessories, art, and books. Operating Tuesday to Saturday, the shop will also be representing the link between the Ruakākā community and the services our nurses and volunteers have provided for over 30 years in the area.
You will be part of a focused and ambitious retail team, working to support our charitable fundraising to:
The days and hours of work are 8.5 hours per day Tuesday to Friday, and 5.5 hours on Saturday.
What you will bring / ngā pūkenga mō tēnei tūranga
To be successful in this role you will have experience in a retail supervisory role, excellent communication skills and the ability to proactively work with a range of people.
You will be:
Previous experience working with volunteers or in the not-for-profit sector would be desirable.
