The Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB) | Kāhui Whakamana Tauwhiro has a fantastic opportunity for a Professional Advisor - Social Work to join our team in Wellington. This is a part-time 12-month, fixed-term role reporting directly to the Lead Professional Advisor - Social Work. This role could be based anywhere in New Zealand with occasional travel to Wellington.
To be successful in this role you will need to have significant experience of social work. You will be required to support the regulatory functions of the Board, have strong analytical abilities, good communication and engagement skills, and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
You will be an integral part of a small close-knit team and organisation. We are looking for a motivated individual who can build effective, values-based relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve the requirements of the role.

The Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB) | Kāhui Whakamana Tauwhiro is a Crown Entity which is Aotearoa’s social worker regulator and lead agency for social worker workforce planning.
It protects the safety of members of the public by ensuring social workers are competent and safe to practise and are accountable for the way in which they practise. It also enhances social workers’ professional practice and provides insight into the opportunities and challenges facing the social worker workforce.
As the SWRB, we recognise our Crown-Māori commitment as a Te Tiriti O Waitangi partner and are committed to improving services and outcomes for Māori, strengthening the Crown’s relationship with Māori, and developing our Māori capability.
Working for SWRB will provide you with the opportunity to be part of a small Crown agent and regulator. You will be part of a small supportive organisation (45 staff) where learning and developing is encouraged.
