Basedat Christchurch Hospital, our Otolaryngology Department receives acute andarranged referrals. We cater for all age groups from neonates to elderly andhave specialty clinics that include Otology, Head & Neck Oncology, Sleepdisorders, Paediatric airway and Voice clinics that are all supported by arange of health professionals including the ORL Head & Neck NurseSpecialist.

Wehave an opportunity for an RN to join our service and work with the team todevelop their skills and leadership capabilities. It is expected you will workcollaboratively with your nursing colleagues, hospital aides and the ChargeNurse Manager to coordinate patient flow and assist medical staff to enablesmooth running of our outpatient clinics. You will maintain clinic environmentto facilitate patient flow directing Hospital Aids and Enrolled Nurses asrequired and communicate effectively with patients (including hearing impaired,dysphasic and aphasic) and colleagues.
Tobe successful you will be keen to learn, organised, with the ability to engagea wide range of people alongside a sound clinical knowledge and skill base. Asa key stakeholder in our service you will be committed to high standards ofnursing care, with a focus on improving patient outcomes. If you are anenthusiastic, motivated nurse who would enjoy working in this specialty areathis could be a great opportunity for you. You will also complete educationrequired to run Nurse Led clinics.
Youwill be a NZ Registered Nurse and hold a current APC.
Therole will be working 8 hour shifts rostered start times 0800, 0830 and 0900between Monday and Friday.
