Practice Nurse Carefirst Group- Bell Block Medical Centre

We are excited to be opening a new Carefirst practice - Bell Block Medical Centre, due to be opening on 9 July 2024. We are recruiting a practice nurse position to join the team of three doctors, nursing , reception and support team.   The Carefirst group provide accessible and culturally appropriate healthcare, care that reflects our values of respect, teamwork, clinical excellence, empathy and sustainability.   

We are looking for motivated a registered nurse who ideally has primary care experience, to join our Carefirst whanau.  This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career and to continue to enjoy the benefits of working in primary care. The role we are offering is a varied and interesting. We have a supportive, inclusive and experienced team who are employed to work in our new clinic. 

The successful applicant will be providing a range of services which include, supporting patients with preventative care, providing acute care, caring for patients with chronic conditions and patient education.  The role of a practice nurse is varied, challenging and rewarding. 

Key skills needed include:

• A current practicing certificate
• A current vaccinators certificate.
• Experienced in cervical screening.
• Certified in level 4 CPR 
• Computer literacy
• Effective time management, flexibility and commitment 
• An energetic and enthusiastic team player
• The ability to maintain high standards of clinical care
• The right to live and work in New Zealand

Our practice is open Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm.
