Job Description - Registered Nurses - Bone Marrow Transplant Unit

  • Permanent full time position, along with a part-time fixed term 0.9FTE parental leave opportunity until August 2024
  • Develop specialised skills in the treatment for malignant and non-malignant haematological  disorders.
  • NZ Registration and current Annual Practising Certificate required

    The Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, Ward B6, is wherepatients receive specialised treatment for malignant and non-malignanthaematological disorders treating patients from throughout the South Island.

    We are a well-established collaborative team, whowork and play hard. We deliver high standards of nursing care to the patients andfamilies admitted to the ward. We offer a supportive and encouraging workenvironment and strive to be recognised as a centre of excellence.

    Roles available:

  • 1x Perermanent full-time 1FTE position
  • 1x Part-time, fixed term 0.9FTE covering parental leave until August 2024

    This is an ideal opportunity to develop specialisedskills and gain valuable experience in CVAD management and cannulation, theadministration of blood products and chemotherapy.

    We are looking for someone who possess a passionfor our service, alongside a good sense of humour and exceptional communicationskills.

    Previous haematology experience is desirable howeverorientation will be provided to the successful candidate.
