Specialist Clinician

Nelson 32 Hours per week

Stop is looking for a skilled Specialist Clinician to work with children and adolescents displaying concerning or harmful sexualised behaviour. Join a values driven team making a real difference across Te Waipounamu.

 What you'll do

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing and implementing tailored intervention plans 


• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and family therapy


• Collaborating with whanau, schools and other professionals to ensure a holistic, coordinated approach to care


• Maintaining thorough client records and participating in clinical review processes

 What you bring

• Recognised qualification in psychology, counselling, social work or a related mental health discipline and registration (e.g. NZPB, NZAC)


• Experience working with adolescent and children in a clinical setting, ideally in the area of concerning and harmful sexualised behaviour


• Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding


• Strong therapeutic skills and cultural competence
