Part-time Management Accountant

Company Overview:

Youtap Limited is a growing FinTech company based in New Zealand that specializes in innovative payment solutions. We seek a highly skilled and experienced Part-time Management Accountant to join our team and work at least two days a week.

As a Management Accountant, you will be crucial in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with New Zealand IFRS, managing tax filings, and providing financial insights to support the company's growth.

You will be involved in collections, payroll management, and daily accounting. You will also be involved in monthly and end-of-year accounts and dealing with the company's auditors.

You must be a permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with New Zealand IFRS
• Manage tax filings and ensure compliance with tax regulations
• Conduct financial analysis, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making processes
• Collaborate with the finance team to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring adherence to accounting policies
• Actively participate in continuously improving financial processes and systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, Bachelor of Commerce etc) is desirable
• Proven experience as a Management Accountant or Financial Accountant or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand IFRS standards and tax regulations
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, financial planning and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently
• Flexible and able to manage multiple tasks
