Job Description

The projects managed by Seureca Muscat are various. They relate mainly to water & wastewater consulting services, new projects are expected in waste & waste to energy. The type of projects varies from studies and project management to design and work supervision or to technical and operational assistance.

The VIE will support the local team and will be mainly involved in the following 2 signed projects:

• Hydraulic Models Development and Calibration (HMDC) Project for the Client PAW (Public Authority for Water). 
• Hydraulic Model Developmment & DMAs Design for the city of Suhar

Description of the responsibilities:

 

1. Participation in the preparation of Expression of Interest
2. Participation in the preparation of technical and financial proposal
3. Participation in the data collection, data analysis, database management and creation of processes to simplify the work
4. Involvement in the project management by taking charge of the organizational and logistic aspects under the direction of the project manager
5. Contributing to studies/work to be performed and working closely with the experts 
6. Assistance to the Country Manager to manage all technical issues, preparation and review of reports

Length : 12 months renewable 

Qualifications

Educational background:   

5 years of higher education (BAC+5) / Hydraulic Engineer, water/wastewater networks modeling is a plus

Previous experience:

Water sector, water network hydraulic, Consulting Engineering Services. Working in a project frame/mode, preferably within environmental services related topics. Technical audit experiences are a plus.

Skills:

Proficient user of software such as Office (good knowledge in the use of excel/Gsheet tables is necessary), knowledge in GIS (Arcgis, Qgis). Knowledge in hydraulic modelling is a good plus.

Driving license is must.

Languages:

English. Note that Arabic and French are a plus but not mandatory

Other:

Adaptability and capacity to synthesize

Autonomous, self-motivated, responsive and organized. 

Eager and ready to work on site / a good sense of resourcefulness and autonomy will be the key points for this position.
