Head of Cost Control

Foreground is partnering with a drilling services company in Muscat, Oman, to appoint a Head of Cost Control. This leadership role is critical in ensuring cost efficiency and financial discipline across drilling operations and capital projects.

About the Role

The Head of Cost Control will manage budgeting, cost allocation, and project cost tracking, ensuring financial performance is aligned with operational and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cost control frameworks across operations and projects.
• Monitor project budgets, variances, and cost performance reports.
• Support procurement and supply chain teams in cost analysis and vendor negotiations.
• Provide executive-level cost forecasts and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with Omani accounting standards and internal policies.
• Lead cost reporting for executive management and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• 15+ years in cost control and project finance within drilling, oilfield, or heavy industrial sectors.
• Proven ability to manage cost frameworks for multi-million-dollar drilling projects.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting standards and GCC financial practices.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Engineering with financial specialization.
