Sales Director forGrid Software Oman

As Sales Director for our Sales activities in Oman, you will have the unmatchedopportunity to make a significant impact and shape the energy future of thecountry.

Your new role will be inspiring,future-oriented and requires a creative and business-driven mindset, with greatassertiveness and a strong ability to focus in complex and disrupting environments.You will drive and be accountable for new sales and account development for ourkey accounts in Oman, on the growth agenda of the Siemens Grid Softwarebusiness unit in Middle East.

Your challenge is to define andexecute top-down account and market plans for transmission and distributionutilities in Oman, as well as industry and infrastructure players, namelyO&G, chemical, mining, airports, sea ports, and more. Your impact will beto manage extreme business growth in a disrupting business environment, set andexecute corresponding sales & account development plans, commensurate marketingstrategies as well as expanding our product footprint. As such, you areaccountable for the overall Sales quotas of the business in Oman. You will needto orchestrate a wide network of stakeholders within the local and globalSiemens community – and beyond. Key to success will be to build deep customerrelationships paired with a strong understanding of the business, whileoverseeing and shaping our client’s continuous development.

What you’ll do:

  • Identifyopportunities, initiate and support bid preparation and submission until award
  • Supportmarketing activities within the accounts, their consultants and prospectiveEPCs, including presentations and workshops
  • Fullresponsibility for developing winning pricing strategies
  • Buildstrong and long-lasting relationships and grow business with our Omani accounts
  • Gainprofound understanding of specific customers, including their needs, businessmodel, industry trends, competition and key organization initiatives
  • Ensurethat annual account targets are met, and strategic actions plans are developedand executed
  • Beaccountable for quotas, forecasts and market outlooks in Oman
  • Facilitatelong-term holistic strategy for customer retention to leverage futureopportunities and growth
  • Engagewith customers at the CxO level and their direct reports, as well as ontechnical and engineering levels, as a thought leader to outline how oursolutions can help our clients master and accelerate the energy transition
  • Leadcontract negotiations, systematically follow up on opportunities and ensureoverall business profitability
  • Manageand execute an extreme growth of business
  • Developpartner strategies and ensure ramp-up of partner business
  • Developand implement creative ideas to minimize the importance of price and maximizethe importance of product performance
  • Ensureclient satisfaction, incorporate feedback, and develop clients along their fulljourney
  • Acquirenew customers through analytical processing of market and customer data forsales initiatives, proactive tracking of leads, qualification of customers
  • Supportthe pre-sales team by providing concise input to win business
  • What you'll need:

  • Graduatedegree in Business / Engineering / Computer Science or comparable
  • 5+years of sales experience in the space of electrical, automation and software sales/businessdevelopment capacity
  • Havingworked for a leading tech company in the above-mentioned areas of business
  • Experienceand exposure to grid operator business, and as a plus to industries such asO&G, chemical, metals and mining, and infrastructures
  • Excellentunderstanding of energy transmission and distribution technologies, mainly inSCADA, IT/OT integration, digitalization with IoT solutions and cyber security
  • Excellentunderstanding of core power and water utility processes
  • Understandingof smart grid use cases and digitalization in grid operations
  • Sophisticatedexecutive demeanor – comfortable operating with very senior clients anddemonstrated ability to create long term relationships
  • Stronginspirational capabilities to persuade and take clients along into new growthfields and business that will help them master disruptive business challenges
  • Provenleadership skills regarding results focus, accountability, and reliability
  • Ateam-oriented and collaborative approach including outstanding listening skillsand ability to manage through influence
  • Excellentpresentation and written communication skills in English and Arabic
  • Existingnetwork of contacts in power utility market in Oman is a plus
