Newton British Academy – Barwa City is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced Secondary Psychology Teacher to join our successful and growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  Deliver high-quality Psychology lessons across the secondary phase.

  Plan and teach engaging lessons that promote excellent progress and outcomes for all students.

  Assess, monitor and report on student achievement and attainment.

  Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking and independent learning.

  Contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement initiatives.

  Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and the wider school community to support student success.

Requirements

• 
  

  Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology, Psychology, or a closely related field.

  
  


• 
  

  Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd, QTS or equivalent).

  
  


• 
  

  Experience teaching Psychology within a secondary school setting.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Psychology education.

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students of varying abilities.

  
  


• 
  

  Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

  
  

Desirable

• 
  

  Experience teaching the British Curriculum.

  
  


• 
  

  Previous experience in an international school setting.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience teaching Psychology at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
