Section Head IT Governance

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the IT governance framework in alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory standards.
• Lead risk management initiatives related to IT systems, ensuring identification, assessment, and mitigation of IT risks.
• Establish and monitor IT policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with banking regulations and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate governance, risk, and compliance processes within IT operations.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews of IT processes to ensure adherence to governance standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and training to IT staff on governance principles and compliance requirements.
• Serve as a liaison between IT, senior management, and regulatory bodies to facilitate clear communication and reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience of at least 7 years in IT governance, risk management, or compliance, preferably within the banking sector.
• In-depth knowledge of IT governance frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, and relevant banking regulations.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and the ability to implement effective IT security controls.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with experience leading cross-functional IT governance teams.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CGEIT, or CRISC are highly desirable.
