Job Description - VAC00363-Director Product Marketing

Ooredoo Oman Family Member

As the Director – Product Marketing you will be responsible for developing the Mobile, fixed and devices strategy, and ensuring dynamic updates on products by ensuring that the services are not compromised by being proactive, to ensure maximum profitability.

Core Responsibilities

You will be responsible of the following:

  • Develop department strategy and ensuring that increase in sales and market share plan is in place
  • Prepare department sales forecast and budget and align with OG strategy.
  • Prepare periodic SWOT analysis for the market, propose plans & corrective actions
  • Lead the development of retail propositions which resonate with the target customers
  • Ensure the creation of marcomms briefs and approval of marcomms plans which effectively communicate the propositions through the correct channels
  • Ensuring that the segment and post-paid/Prepaid retail propositions continue to meet the demands and expectations of customers by remaining relevant throughout their life times
  • Lead the Development and management of the product lifecycle short and long term strategy, including product enhancements, technical implementations
  • Own and manage projects related to the expansion/enhancement of the Fibre to the Home products
  • Lead the end to end management of launch of all products and services for connected Homes
  • Ownership of the Loyalty Scheme. Development and implementation of a roadmap that engages customers through relevant rewards
  • Lead the end to end delivery of identified campaigns using all the elements of the CMT and associated backend capabilities (NBA, inactive catcher, churn prediction models)
  • Lead the Identification and implementation of initiatives which act upon opportunities within the customer base
  • Lead the analysis of the current base and the identification of trends, opportunities and weaknesses
  • Drive Market research, price and data analysis on devices.
  • Understand Industry developments, competitor plans and positioning, and trends in customer demand and adoption for devices across segments
  • Lead and manage projects related to the devices and bundled offers in the market
  • Prepare Departments’ activities monthly report and submit to CCO
  • Active monitoring, evaluating and reporting of the key KPIs
  • Manage the team and maintain high level of productivity, effectiveness, and increase sales and market share
  • Leading, managing and motivating a team of direct reports to make sure the team members hit the highest levels of performance which ensure segment and personal targets are met
  • Manage, motivate and delegate within the cross-functional team to ensure the highest level of performance and to ensure the unit meets its business targets. This cross functional team to include internal elements such as B2B, Sales, CS and Legal. To also include external elements such as Ooredoo Group, other Group OpCo’s and partners
  • Delegate effectively to the team in order that they develop their skills and knowledge
  • Appraise accurately on a frequent basis the team members performance against their agreed performance contracts and ensure everyone has in place a development plan that is executed and the learning’s implemented
  • Be responsible for the allocation of resources within the cross functional team by aligning with individual line managers
  • Provide feedback and analysis on competitor activities

    You should a minmum of:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Sales, Economics or any related field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the telecom industry
  • Experienced in Product Development and management
  • Technical knowledge in Telecom industry products
  • Experience in managing P&L
  • Experience of dealing with Consumer across multiple industries
  • Additional Information
