Job Description

About the role:
This position will be part of the Global Discipline of Glass and Materials Science within Global Technology, will work in a cross-functional team and will be responsible for providing operational support to the plant.
You will be responsible for:
- Assistance plants 
Responding quickly to glass quality issues
Proactive work and communication with plant network leaders (PNLs) 
Provide on-site technical support as needed.

- Drive Global Manufacturing Fundamentals (GMF)
Complete focus plant audits
Track your facility self-assessments

- Ensure Stable Glass Chemistry
Runway finish glass analysis (monthly) and runway glass quality parameters

- Orchestration color changes
Pro-active review of upcoming changes, follow-up, capture all data and ensure workbooks are complete

- Validate Raw Material and Cullet
Track material/cullet compositions (COAs, analysis)

- NLP Technical Capability
Ensure skill assessments are completed
Create development plans for NLPs
Build technical skills at the plant level

Qualifications

About you:
You love glass and care about sustainability and the planet
You have Bachelor in Glass Science, Ceramic Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Geology or similar field with:
Experience in a manufacturing industry, including co-op or internship experience.
Experience with various materials characterization techniques such as: microscopy, XRF, DSC, SEM/EDX, 
You're a good communicator and good team player.
