Job Description - HR Coordinator

Role Overview:


This part-time position (approximately 4 hours per day, Pacific Time) supports a forensic witness placement firm in structuring and maintaining its internal HR systems. The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for developing core documentation and SOPs, managing onboarding and offboarding processes, tracking PTO, assisting with payroll workflows, and supporting the overall well-being of the internal team—particularly remote staff based in the Philippines.



The role will also include compensation research to ensure salaries remain aligned with market expectations in both the U.S. and the Philippines.



Key Responsibilities:


• Create and manage internal HR documentation: Employee Handbook


• Company SOPs, including PTO policy and tracking


• Oversee onboarding of new employees, ensuring all necessary materials, systems access, and orientation steps are provided


• Handle offboarding procedures, including documentation, system access removal, and transition coordination


• Track and process PTO requests for both U.S. and Filipino team members


• Support the remote Filipino team (hired through external agencies)


• Conducting wellness and morale check-ins


• Addressing and escalating concerns as needed


• Assist with payroll processing for internal U.S. and Filipino staff (with training provided by the client)


• Conduct research on competitive compensation rates in the U.S. and Philippine markets to guide internal salary decisions



Qualifications:


• Background in HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, and SOP implementation


• Familiarity with labour practices and cultural nuances in both the U.S. and the Philippines


• Strong analytical skills for compensation research and benchmarking


• High emotional intelligence; skilled in supporting virtual team dynamics and well-being


• Organized, proactive, and adaptable, with strong communication skills


• Willingness to learn client-specific systems for payroll and internal documentation



Working Environment:


• Remote role, 4 hours per day, aligned with Pacific Time


• Direct collaboration with U.S. leadership and Filipino team members


• Training provided post-hire on payroll and internal processes
