Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced freelance accountant for a critical, time-sensitive project focused on our FY25 tax preparation. The goal is to conduct a thorough cleanup of our books over the next 1-2 weeks. In this role, you will be responsible for complex reconciliations and ensuring the accuracy of our payables and Gross Profit. We need a reliable and efficient professional who can work independently to help us achieve immaculate financial records ahead of our tax filing deadline.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform complex account reconciliations.


• Recode transactions as needed to ensure accuracy.


• Verify and ensure the accuracy of Gross Profit calculations.


• Ensure all accounts payable are accurately recorded and up to date.


• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a Senior Staff Accountant role or similar.


• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, accounts payable, and bookkeeping.


• Experience with complex account reconciliations and month-end closing processes.


• Ability to develop smarter reconciliation methods and identify opportunities for automation.


• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.


• Strong organizational and time-management skills.


• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.


• Experience with our accounting software is a plus.
