Test Automation Architect

Pointwest Innovations Corporation is looking for a Test Automation Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable, and enterprise-grade automation frameworks using Tricentis TOSCA. The role requires establishing best practices, mentoring teams, and driving automation strategies aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Automation Leadership: Design, develop, and implement robust test automation frameworks using Tricentis TOSCA, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins).

• Standards & Best Practices: Define and enforce automation standards, guidelines, and reusable assets across multiple projects and teams.

• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with QA, Development, and DevOps teams to ensure effective and efficient automation processes aligned with business objectives.

• Team Development & Mentorship: Provide technical leadership, conduct onboarding, training, and continuous skill development for automation engineers and QA analysts.

• Continuous Improvement: Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and optimize automation processes. Stay updated on the latest TOSCA features and automation innovations.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • 8+ years in software testing, with at least 5 years in test automation.

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Tricentis TOSCA.

  • Proven experience in enterprise-level automation framework design and implementation.

  • Experience with Agile, CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins), and test management tools (OpenText ALM, Xray, Azure DevOps).

• Skills:

  • Expert in TOSCA Test Suite.

  • Strong SDLC and QA methodologies.

  • Familiar with GitLab/GitHub, Jira, qTest, and OpenText ALM.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

• Certifications:

  • Required: Tricentis TOSCA Certification (Automation Specialist Level 1 & 2).

  • Preferred: ISTQB Certified Tester – Advanced Level (Test Automation Engineer).
