We’re looking for an  Accounts Receivable and Payable Officer who pays posted invoices on time via bank wire or bill pay and ensures payments are posted in Quickbooks and Forwarding Software.

About our client

Our partner is a licensed NVOCC and Freight Forwarder that provides transportation solutions via Ocean, Air, and Land, intending to be a company known for its reliability, diligence, and trustworthiness.

What are the daily tasks?

• Arrange Quick Pay for Truckers that Require via Wire Transfer
  
• Work closely with the Export, Import, and Domestic Team to ensure timely payments to our vendors.
  
• Follow up with the vendor if any discrepancies are found.
  
• Prepare and process electronic transfers, payments, and check runs.
  
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
  
• Maintain vendor files and details.
  
• Manage Cash Flow
  
• Send statements to customers weekly.
  
• Follow up with those that are in Past Due Status.
  
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies.
  
• Follow up with the customers for outstanding payments until the collection is completed.
  
• Generate and review the AR aging report to ensure compliance.
  
• Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records

Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of accounting or AP/AR experience, ideally in the logistics industry
  
• QBO certified or experienced is a must
  
• Processed payment/invoices, payment reconciliation, and handled vendors that needed payment
