We are a direct arm of an accounting/consulting firm in Sydney. We pride ourselves in having long term

looking for a Senior Australian Accountant to join our team and look after a portfolio of Australian
clients.

Job Description
An experienced Australian Senior Accountant, with a demonstrated strong understanding of Australian
Employment and Payroll Processes and Laws. This position focuses on overseeing the end-to-end Accounting, Financial and Payroll of different companies in Australia, directly reporting to HR Managers or CEO's.

Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA/Non-CPA
● A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, specifically as a senior accountant in an
Australian Accounting firm
● Advanced knowledge of Xero and ability to manage integrations
● Strong knowledge of Australia accounting, GST and statutory regulations
● Strong analytical, comprehension and issue identification and resolution skills
● Great interpersonal skills and ability to deal with diverse backgrounds.
● Polite, diplomatic and engaging communication skills, both written and verbal
● Strong organisational and job management skills, excellent attention to detail
● Proficiency in Microsoft office/Google Workspace and strong excel/gsheet skills
● Ability to teach, manage and inspire staff (work collaboratively - a great team player)
● Trustworthy in managing confidential information
● Self starter, proactive, proven research techniques and solutions driven
Responsibilities (not all inclusive)
● Working closely with the Manager to ensure client deliverables are met, you will be supported by a Junior/Intermediate bookkeeper.
● Training, reviewing, and overseeing work prepared by team members (including workpapers and
analysis) to detect discrepancies, ensure accuracy and ensure deadlines are met
● Overseeing end to end bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, monthly close and management
reporting for a portfolio of clients.
● Monitor team in their workflows, email management and assist/provide answers regarding issue
resolutions.
