Lead Accountant

Job title:

Accounting Lead

Responsibilities:

· Manage operations of accounting team i.e. AR and AP process and recording of day-to-day financial transactions;

· Prepare regular reports as required by management, i.e. bi-weekly AR aging report, AR-AP overview;

· Manage payroll process;

· Manage submission of VAT and GST to local consultants;

· Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting standards;

· Prepare accurate and timely consolidated management accounts (P&L and balance sheet);

· Liaise with auditors during external audits, provide necessary documentation, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;

· Oversee implementation and maintenance of financial systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy;

· Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and enhance internal controls;

· Provide ad hoc business reports and analysis as requested by management.

Candidate requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.

· Proven experience (8+ years) in accounting-related roles

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations

· Strong proficiency in financial report preparation including consolidation of report for a group of companies

· Advanced knowledge of accounting software and financial systems, specifically NetSuite

· Knowledge in VAT and GST process and filing

· Experience in product and inventory costing and cost analysis

· Strong proficiency with Excel formulas and functions

· Strong leadership and supervisory skills
