A Day in the Life This position will enable governance of Philippines legal entity, ensure strong controls and strict adherence to finance policies and procedures, creating and improve accounting processes, ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial closing, examine accuracy and completeness of financial records.
This person will report directly to the Finance Manager. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for financial reporting and financial controls, US GAAP and statutory reporting, internal and external audits, tax compliance for legal entity. The role is expected to span across Operator, Steward, Catalyst and Strategist areas of responsibilities. Operator: fulfill accounting operations and financial reporting deliverables balancing capabilities, talents, costs, and service levels

• 
  Deliver financial closing and reporting in compliance with US GAAP and local statutory financial standards
• 
  Review balance sheet account reconciliations
• 
  Attest balance sheet financials and controls
• 
  Deliver statutory and regulatory reporting on time including statutory financial audits, corporate tax and indirect tax filings.
• 
  Work closely with Treasury and Tax functions to ensure oversight on local entity banking, funding, transfer pricing and foreign exchange management.

Steward: own financial and internal controls and policy compliance

• 
  Gatekeeper of company finance policy compliance
• 
  Implement balance sheet control framework and deliverables
• 
  Support legal entity fiduciary responsibilities including board of directors
• 
  Work closely with ISM (indirect supply management) to ensure compliance with travel and expenses policy

Catalyst: drive continuous improvement in financial and compliance metrics, value streams, and internal risk-control framework

• 
  Working with both Commercial and Shared Services team & process owners to improve end to end value stream efficiencies and control
• 
  Proactive risk assessment, controls and training regarding revenue recognition risk prevention, detection and mitigation
• 
  P2P (Procure to Pay) and EE (Employee Expenses): ensure PO compliance, expenses compliance, and improve account payable working capital to meet AP Target
• 
  Work closely with supply chain and BU finance team in assessing inventory risks and reducing other product costs (OPC)
• 
  Close collaboration and linkage with other control function eg Pricing, Supply Chain finance, Channel Management

Strategist: support global and regional initiative to enable sustainable business growth and business strategy implementation

• 
  Support global finance and accounting initiatives including new accounting standards implementation
• 
  Participate, support, and lead initiatives as needed from the APAC controllership Leadership forum
• 
  Provide controllership advisory and data insights support to regional finance and other functional stakeholders
• 
  Proactively involved in business planning, financial and strategic update to identify controllership, financial and tax risks.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• 
  Bachelors degree required
• 
  Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience

Nice to Have

• 
  7-10 years of finance and accounting experience with progressive responsibility, especially with exposure to international operations
• 
  Certified Accountant/ MBA in Finance - Big 4 experience is a plus
• 
  Commercial experience is preferred
• 
  Ability to manage several projects or tasks and conclude timely
• 
  Strong influence management skills
• 
  Excellent Knowledge of Ms Excel & Power Point
• 
  Experience on ERP system including General Ledger, automated entries and reporting
• 
  Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
• 
  SAP experience
• 
  Prior experience with transfer pricing, direct and indirect taxation
