Job Description - Senior Accounts Payable Officer

The role will be working with the offshore Finance Team based in Australia to ensure business meets its financial business requirements, ensuring that operational standards and deadlines are adhered to and contributing information to strategic plans whilst implementing productivity and a “CAN-DO-attitude” approach to customer-service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily coding of invoices in the electronic Accounts Payable system (EDOCS)
  • Processing all marina and marina boatyard payment runs on a fortnightly basis
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Sending payments to ANZ approvers 
  • Sending fortnightly remittance advices
  • Ensuring all payments runs are met within Company deadlines
  • Monthly supplier statement reconciliations
  • Trade creditor reconciliations
  • Aged creditor reconciliations

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of an end-to-end accounts payable process
  • 4 years and up experience as a Senior Accounts Payable Officer function ideally in medium-high volume invoices environment
  • Accounting qualification equivalent to Bachelor’s degree or diploma
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office and Excel are essential as well as working with multiple integrated systems
  • Excellent communication and written/verbal skills essential
  • High level organizational skills with an excellent eye for detail and accuracy, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment taking ownership and responsibility for delivering against deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously when required and handle work with accountability
  • Willingness to take on any task, be flexible with your approach, have a can-do attitude, be adaptable and think of solutions that deliver results
  • Experience with Greentree (MYOB software) and multi-site organizations are preferred
