UCT is looking for a talented Sr AP Accountant to join us in Cebu! The Sr. AP Accountant is responsible for performing a range of accounting and other tasks related to the accounts payable function. This generally includes receiving, processing, and verifying invoices, tracking, and recording purchase orders, and processing payments. The accounting responsibilities also include reconciling bank statements as well as computing tax payments and returns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Post business transactions, process invoices, and validate financial data for the purpose of maintaining accounts payable records.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders and confirm receipt of goods or services prior to making payments to vendors (3-way matching).
• Ensure that payments to local and foreign vendors are made on time by employing effective monitoring procedures.
• Ensure the accuracy of the financial documents for payment, auditing, and tax purposes.
• Resolve all issues pertaining to payables with internal and external stakeholders.
• Responsible for maintaining account ledgers and assisting in month-end closing activities.
• Reconcile vendor and bank accounts.
• Process and prepare tax forms as required.
• Responds to inquiries and communicate with vendors/employees.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• At least 5 years of related professional experience in Accounts Payables invoice processing, preferably in an ERP environment.
• Working knowledge of bookkeeping principles and tax laws.
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
• Proficient in MS Word & Excel.

Educational/Certification Requirement :

• Bachelor´s Degree, preferably in Business, Accounting, or Finance.

Experience Requirement:

Work Experience:

• At least 5 years of related professional experience in Accounts Payables.
